The Old Man and the Sea
film (2021) 3'51''

Inspired by failure and human nature, The Old Man and the Sea is a Beyblade-induced poem and karaoke - but instead with no man and no sea. Through three chapters, it elaborates on a different context with its impossibilities in which to be defeated. Every Beyblade battle becomes a dead-end road where the only possibility is to keep spinning. This film development sparked a visual research on movement through painting and drawing.![](https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/c957edbefc80e501d6ce8f39ce7b551da01185a9ccece9f84ce52d4b0d67065c/pintura-bey-min-2.jpg)
This work was specially developed to be presented in the Eye Filmmuseum (Amsterdam), in the program Eye On Art: Resilient Bodies in June 2021.
